MOOSHFEST
Personal film shots from the inaugural extraterrestrial music fest.
Ty Walker and the Humanoids closed out the festival with with a setlist from space.
Taking place over August 14 and 15, the first Mooshfest was held in Boulder, MT.
Ryan Rebo had asked me a few months prior if I would photograph the event, which I couldn’t pass up. Starting at noon on Friday and ending around midnight on Saturday, it was a whirlwind of aliens and cowboys.
I primarily shot with a couple of digital cameras, but I had my M4 loaded with Kentmere 400 pushed to 800 with a 28mm lens. I’ve been digging the 28 for the last several months, having largely only used it for skate photos since I bought it.
Izaak Opatz plays with Caroline Keys on Saturday.
Some people I knew, others I met for the first time. All were kind and welcoming. From left to right: Eli, Amy, Cheyenne, Sven, Chelsea.
Sven pours a peace offering to Cheyenne during some playful disagreeing about…who remembers?
Pork Fever plays his set in the barn midday on Saturday. I’ve known Chris since I was a kid. It was great to see him perform, having seen Volumen at the Warped Tour in Bozeman when I was 13.
Great seeing Jeff, Papu and Allie.
Zinnia (Rachael Cardiello) performing with Ty Walker and the Humanoids, closing out Saturday night. I went to answer nature’s call and found myself backstage and decided to post up for the rest of the set.
Self-portrait at my friend EJ’s place. He was gracious to offer to let me (and all of my friends) get out of the rain and sleep in a bed.
Thanks for spending time with my photography. - Fletcher
